Short guide

How to keep track of your business

You don't need to know accounting. With five simple habits you know how much you sell, who owes you and how much you keep each day. They work in a notebook or in the app.

  1. 1 / 5

Record every sale the same day

What you sold, how much and how you were paid. If you leave it for later, it gets forgotten. In the app it's one tap per product and the inventory updates itself.

New sale with four products and the total to charge
  2. 2 / 5

Track credit sales with name and date

Every credit sale with the customer's name, and every payment they make. That way you know who owes you and how much without relying on memory.

Receivables: credit sales by customer with what's been paid
  3. 3 / 5

    Record what goes out too

Supplier purchases, rent, utilities, transport. Without expenses you can't tell if you're making or losing money.

  4. 4 / 5

Close the cash register at the end of the day

Take the cash you started with, add what you collected in cash and subtract what you paid in cash: that's what there should be. Count the bills and compare. If it doesn't match, you see it that same day.

In the app, cash closing comes with the Entrepreneur plan.

Cash closing with opening cash, sales, payments and expenses
  5. 5 / 5

    See how much you kept

What came in minus what went out is what you kept. And the sale price minus the cost of each product tells you how much you make on what you sell.
